Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
