'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the maiden major achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would definitely think about prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's top focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
  • New contract negotiations could start in the upcoming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring record continues to impress
